Tom George is an anchor and reporter covering politics, international affairs, enterprise journalism, and major breaking news. He is currently an anchor and reporter for ABC-owned WTVD in Raleigh / Durham, NC.
His reporting has taken him from the White House to South Korea, exploring U.S.-Asia relations, national political issues, and landmark breaking news, including the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting. He previously anchored nightly newscasts for KITV4 (ABC) in Honolulu, Hawai'i, and has also reported and anchored in Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, and Macon, Georgia.
A Maryland native and proud Terp, Tom graduated from the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism and interned at the NBC News Washington Bureau and for WRC-TV NBC4 in Washington, D.C.
Fluent in Spanish, and having studied in Barcelona, Spain, and grown up partially in England, Tom brings an international perspective to his reporting. He is passionate about telling stories that help people better understand the issues shaping their communities and the world around them.
